Give Yourself Time — We’ll Be Here When You’re Ready
When a loved one passes peacefully and the death was expected, you do not have to make every decision immediately. Take a moment to be together, notify those closest to you, share the time with your family, and allow yourself space to grieve. When you are ready, we will gently guide you through the arrangements, one step at a time.
When the Passing Has Been Confirmed
The next steps depend on where your loved one passed away. In a hospital, hospice or aged-care facility, the medical staff will guide you through the necessary procedures. If the death occurs at home, contact their GP, palliative care team or the appropriate medical service. If the death is sudden or unexpected, call 000 and follow the instructions provided; police and the coroner may need to become involved as part of the normal process.

One call is all it takes. We bring your person into our care — within the hour if you wish, or after the family has had time — and then gently talk through what kind of farewell feels right. Nothing is decided on the phone, and nothing is payable to bring them into care.
Returning Home or Overseas
If your loved one will be returning to their homeland or travelling overseas, please let us know from the beginning. We will carefully arrange the required preparation, documentation and international transfer, while supporting your family with compassion and respect throughout the journey home.
