Documents to gather

- Your loved one's passport (or birth certificate if no passport)
- The next of kin's passport or photo ID
- Doctor's cause-of-death certificate (we arrange this with the hospital or GP)
- Details of the receiving funeral home, if the family has a preference

- Burial plans at home, if known (village, church or cemetery)
The journey, step by step
Day 1
Into our care
We bring your person into our care from the hospital, home or coroner, and sit down with you — in person or by phone — to plan the journey home.
Days 1–3
Certificates and embalming
The doctor's certificate is issued, the death is registered, and our mortuary team completes embalming to airline standard. The embalming certificate is prepared.
Days 3–5
Consular clearance
We lodge the paperwork with the Fijian Consulate-General or the PNG High Commission and obtain the clearances the airline and the receiving country require.
Days 4–6
Flight booking
We book the airline cargo passage, confirm the air waybill, and give family the flight details so those at home know exactly when to expect arrival.
Day of departure
The farewell
Family are welcome to gather at our premises for prayers and a final goodbye before we accompany your person to the airport.
On arrival
Arrival home
The receiving funeral home meets the flight, clears customs, and cares for your person until the funeral at home. We stay in contact until the family confirms all is well.
Questions families ask
How long does repatriation take?
Usually seven to ten days from coming into our care to arrival home, depending on flights and consular processing. Where faith requires speed, tell us — we prioritise accordingly.
Can family travel on the same flight?
Often, yes. Tell us who is travelling and we coordinate the cargo booking with the airline so family can be on the same aircraft where possible.
What does the price include?
Everything listed on this page — care, embalming, the sealed casket, all documents, the airline booking and coordination with the receiving funeral home. Airline freight charges vary by route and weight and are confirmed on your written quote.

Yes. Many families hold a service or viewing here so the Australian community can farewell, before the journey home. We arrange both together.
